When you think about golden sand, sea gulls and sun tan lotion…do you also think Beans? If not, maybe you should! A study in the journal Obesity Research found that a diet consisting primarily of rice and beans lowers the risk of becoming overweight by about 14% when compared with typical Western fare.

WHY? because it’s lower in fat and higher in fiber, which is thought to stabilize blood sugar levels. So if you want to ROCK your beach body next summer stock up on BEANS and RICE!
