7 Scary Toxins Ruining Your Health & What You Can Do

The modern world has given us great conveniences like cell phones, cars, drive thru restaurants, bottled water and more. However, all of this modernization of society has come with a cost in the form of toxins.

Toxins are all around you and no matter how careful you are they are unavoidable. These foreign invaders enter your body through the food you eat, the air you breath, and through your skin. Yes, even through your skin. When you use products like soap, shampoo, and creams toxic ingredients can enter your blood stream in seconds. Even the clothes you wear and the couch you sit on have toxins that can impact your health.

Everything that enters your body is either fuel used for energy or poison. While your body was designed to process toxins it often can’t handle the amount you face in modern life. Common Toxins

VOCS

Volitle Organic Compounds are gases that escape from a variety of common household and other products. Products like air fresheners, paint, cleansers, and even furniture may be sources of VOCs. VOCs include chemicals that are known to cause short and long term health issues.  [1]

PARABENS

Parabens are generally used in cosmetic products, deodareants, drugs and some foods. They’re added to help prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and mold. Which sounds great until you discover that they are estrogen mimickers and six different parabens have been identified in biopsy samples from breast tumors. [2]

PHALETES

Phaletes are chemicals used to soften plastic and make plastic more flexible. Phaletes can be found in products ranging from vinyl flooring, garden hoses, children’s inflatable toys and plastic food containers. Phaletes have been shown to impact the repoductive systems in labratory animals. According the CDC, researchers….

“…found measurable levels of many phthalate metabolites in the general population. This finding indicates that phthalate exposure is widespread in the U.S. population.”

PESTICIDES

Pesticides are toxic chemicals used to kill weeds, fungus, insects and rodents. Despite evidence that they also have dangerous effects on human health they remain widely used on fruit and vegetable crops world wide. The health effects of pesticides on humans is wide ranging from short term effects like headaches and nausea to long term complications like cancer and reproductive issues.[3]

BHA (BUTYLATED HYDROXYANISOLE & BHT (BUTYLATED HYDROXYTOLUENE)

BHA and BHT are used as preservatives in cosmetics (like lipsticks and moisturizers) and in food products. Seperately both BHA and BHT are responsible for many health concerns from cancer, thyroid problems, liver issues and reproductive issues.[4]

PCBS

PCBs also known as polychlorinated biphenyls were banned in the US in 1977 based on evidence showing they were harmful to human health and the environment. Although they are no longer used the disposal of products containing PCBS and the recycling of materials contaminated by PCBs still cause a threat.[5]  Skin and lung irritations, and rashes are among symptoms experienced by people exposed to PCBs.

HEAVY METALS

There are toxic heavy metals in many products you use, in the water water you drink and even the air you breathe. When you have too many metals (like mercury, cadmium, lead or aluminum) in your system heavy metal posioning occurs. Mercury can be present in certain fish and can effect your nervous system. Aluminum is very common and can be found in soda cans, foil and other products. Aluminum may be linked to brain issues like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.[6]

What You Can Do

Think about your body like a bath tub and toxins as water pouring in. When the drain is clogged the toxins continue to fill the tub and overflow and when that happens you start experiencing symptoms like those described earlier. So the best thing to do is shut off the water by reducing your exposure and avoiding products known to contain dangerous ingredients.

Then unclog the drain to get rid of the toxins that have built up by doing a healthy natural cleanse which supports your elimination organs.

Summary

Coming in contact with toxins is a fact of modern life however it’s possible to reduce your exposure. When you stop them from coming in and learn how to support your detoxification organs to remove those already in your body you’ll be blown away by how amazing you feel. You’ll see symptoms you thought were just a normal part of getting older disappear. You WILL remember what it’s like to feel great again.
